Lend a hand. Literally.
Every device we give away starts with a volunteer. We're a team of 6 and growing, and there's a place for you whether you own a 3D printer or have never seen one.
Ways to help
| Role | What you'll do | Good fit if you... |
|---|---|---|
| Printer | Print parts on your own 3D printer from our files | Own a printer and like dialing in settings |
| Assembler | Put printed parts together into finished hands and arms | Like hands-on, detail-oriented work. We'll teach you! |
| Events & outreach | Staff our table at community events and talk with families | Enjoy meeting people |
| Translator | Help us talk with Spanish-speaking families and translate materials | Speak English and Spanish |
| Content & communications | Take photos and video, write posts and help tell our story | Love social media, design or writing |
| Students & clubs | Bring your school or club to a build session or hand-a-thon | Lead or belong to a student organization |
Host a hand-a-thon
A hand-a-thon is a group build day. Students, coworkers or club members put 3D-printed parts together into real devices for real people. It's hands-on, it's fun, and every hand you build goes to someone who needs it. Interested in hosting one? Tell us in the form below.
