Built by volunteers. Given for free.

Our story

e-NABLE Atlanta started with a simple idea. If we have the printers, the skills and the time, we can make hands for people who need them. In our first year we've grown from a few makers into a team of 6 volunteers running 5 printers.

We've delivered our first device here in the U.S. We also traveled to Cancún, Mexico, where we delivered 5 more alongside our partners at Ortopedia EvoMex.

What we make

We build upper-limb devices from proven open-source designs, like the Phoenix Hand and the Kwawu Arm. These designs are shared by the global e-NABLE community. Each one is sized for the person who will wear it, printed in durable plastic and assembled by hand. We can even print it in their favorite colors.

Our devices are assistive devices, not medical devices. They are not a replacement for care from a licensed prosthetist.

Part of something bigger

e-NABLE is a worldwide community of volunteers who use 3D printing to make free hands and arms. We're proud to carry that work forward in metro Atlanta. When a request comes from outside our area, we connect the family with e-NABLE volunteers near them in the U.S., Canada or Mexico. Learn about the global e-NABLE community.

Who we serve

We serve people of all ages across metro Atlanta, with no age limits. We are especially committed to reaching families who might not otherwise have access, including Atlanta's Spanish-speaking community.
